Reporting ALL Energy Extraction NEI Inspections into ICIS (including CAA inspections, CWA inspections in PCS states, and UIC inspections)

Purpose:  All inspections and evaluations that are undertaken as part of the Energy Extraction (EE) NEI must be reported into ICIS, even if another national data system is the database of record for these inspections.  The inspections/evaluations must be entered into the ICIS Compliance Monitoring module and flagged on the ICIS Compliance Monitoring screen with "Energy Extraction - Land Based Gas Extraction and Production" using the "OECA National Priority" data field/drop-down menu.  This rule applies to all EE NEI inspections including (but not limited to) CAA evaluations, CWA/NPDES inspections that would otherwise be entered only to PCS, and to UIC inspections.  Any EE NEI inspections/evaluations that are not entered to ICIS will not be credited toward the NEI.

Data Entry:  All EE NEI inspections and evaluations are entered to ICIS via the Compliance Monitoring module, Compliance Monitoring Information screen.  The data fields on this screen should be filled in as completely as possible, including selecting "Energy Extraction - Land Based Gas Extraction and Production" in the "OECA National Priority" data field.

Data Retrieval:  Data on the EE NEI inspections and evaluations will be extracted from ICIS using the "FY 2011-2013 Initiative Inspections Report" posted in the Public Folders/Federal Enforcement/National Standard Reports folder in ICIS Reports.
