Regional Enforcement Coordinators, Regional Enforcement Division Directors, OECA Office Directors, OCE and OC Division Directors:

On November 26th, I sent an email to kick-off the  FY2010 Big Case Projection (BCP) management process (see email below).  As part of this process we requested that all Regions enter all BCPs for FY 2009 and FY 2010 (as well as all FY 2009 lodged and entered case data) in ICIS by January 2nd.   There was a discussion about this process at the SEM meeting this month, and while there is support for providing 2-year projections by the Regions, we realized this effort would greatly benefit by providing the Regions an extension to the reporting deadline and general guidance.  The data entry deadline has been extended to Wednesday, January 14th.   Attached is a short guidance that is primarily focused on the 2010 projections.  We appreciate the input from Regions 3, 4, and 9 on helping us quickly draft it.

To assure that we send big case information and inquiries to the right person in either the region or headquarters, we will assume that the regional point of contact for Big Cases is the Regional Enforcement Coordinator.  The headquarters points of contact are Naisa Thaker, OC (202/564-2944), Lauren Kabler, OCE, and Monica Gardner, OSRE.

If you have questions about the attached guidance, please feel free to contact Daniel Palmer, Chief, Reporting and Analysis Branch, OC/ETDD (202/564-5034), David Hindin (202/564-2280) or myself.

Thank you,

John M. Dombrowski, P.E.

Enforcement Targeting and Data Division, OECA/OC
