TSCA Section 402(c) Inspections Now to Be Counted in the TSCA – Lead Inspection Category (09.07.2010)

TSCA Section 402(c) Inspections Now to Be Counted in the TSCA – Lead Inspection Category

The Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (also known as the PRP Rule, or TSCA Section 402(c)), was finalized in April 2008 and became fully effective on April 22, 2010. Inspections conducted under TSCA 402(c) will be counted in the TSCA - Lead category in the certification ICIS Reports and workbooks. The six ICIS inspection reports were modified to credit these inspections to the TSCA - Lead category: 1) Compliance Inspections; 2) ICDS Total Inspection Subject to ICDS; 3) ICDS Deficiencies Observed and Communicated; 4) ICDS Facilities Took Action; 5) ICDS Tier I CA provided; and 6) Inspections/Evaluations Conducted by Tribal Inspectors Using Federal Credentials. Because the TSCA – Lead category already existed on the EOY Certification Workbook, no changes are evident in the Certification Workbook.
