Reporting more than one pollutant for drinking water cases

More than one pollutant can be reported for SDWA drinking water cases.  However, to avoid double counting, the estimated number of people affected should only be reported once.  The number of people should be reported with the primary pollutant of concern, if known, and the amounts for the other pollutants should be left blank.  If it is not known which is the primary pollutant of concern, the number of people can be reported with any one of the pollutants.

This guidance applies to both SDWA cases reporting direct environmental benefits (complying action: Implement BMPs) and SDWA cases reporting preventative environmental benefits (complying action: Notification).
