Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) definition

A Potentially Responsible Party (PRP) is any individual or entity including owners, operators, transporters, or generators who may be liable under CERCLA Section 107(a).

 

The "PRP Search Manual" provides guidance on how to search for potentially responsible parties (PRPs) that may be liable for cleanup at a Superfund site.
